What is Show&Tell?
Show&Tell provides fundraising and distribution support for filmmakers at all stages of the filmmaking process in two ways:
Easy-to-use software to create and customize a virtual event page
Coaching and guidance through webinars, video lessons, and a private Facebook community.
What stage of my project should I be in to use Show&Tell?
You can use Show&Tell whether you’re in pre-production, post production, or distribution. Our virtual events and coaching have helped hundreds of filmmakers raise over $10,000,000 from companies, nonprofits, philanthropies, and advocacy groups.

What are the processing fees when selling tickets, store items, or collecting donations Show&Tell?
Show&Tell collects a 15% fee for all tickets, donations, and products purchased through the site. Stripe, our payment processor, takes 2.9% and $0.30 from each US based transaction. If your customer’s country of origin is outside of the U.S., the Stripe fee will be 3.9% + $0.30. “(An additional 1% fee will be applied if a currency conversion is required.)”
Can I only host Show&Tell events in the US?
No, Show&Tell has international audiences! Viewers from around the world can participate in a Show&Tell virtual events and filmmakers from around the world can host virtual events and collect payments from their viewers (tickets, donations, and product sales).
What is covered in the Guides On Demand?
The guides will provide 200+ lessons, templates, scripts, and community resources to help you identify your audience, pitch persuasively, and launch powerful partnerships. Topics include: fundraising, audience identification, securing PBS sponsors/underwriters, pitching to funding and launching partnerships, hosting your virtual event, creating pitch decks, how to share your film at conferences, and many more.

How much does Show&Tell cost?
Joining Show&Tell is $500 and is an annual subscription. Signing up gives you:
Unlimited access to all coaching and educational content including live and recorded webinars, 200+ video lessons, access to our private Facebook community, downloadable templates and tools, and much more.
Access to our proprietary Virtual Event Platform. You can easily build your event yourself or have our Event Organizer team build your event from start to finish - each event license is $300.
How many times can I stream a guide?
Each guide includes extensive pre-recorded video content, lesson worksheets, and real-life examples (like pitch decks that were actually used to secure funding and promotional partnerships). The videos are viewable at any time, and they can be paused, fast-forwarded, and re-watched as many times as you'd like.
How do I cancel?
If you don’t wish to continue, you can cancel your membership before renewal. Please note that there aren’t refunds for partially unused membership periods.

Is there a limit on how many people can attend an event?
No, Show&Tell has no limits on capacity for virtual events. You can invite as many guests as you’d like.
How long does it take to set up an event and have it ready to share with my audience?
Our Event Organizer team is here to help! We advise setting up a meeting with us 3 weeks in advance of your event, where we will discuss your film and gather assets.
You can easily build the event yourself, or we can build it with our tried-and-true best practices to ensure quality control and that your page is built to earn the most from your fundraising & distribution efforts. We recommend setting up your event early to give our team time to run tests on your event to make sure everything is good to go!
Where can I go for help during my event?
If you find you have a question, our Help Center has extensive information regarding Show&Tell’s various features and articles with troubleshooting steps to help you quickly resolve any issues you encounter. Our Support Team is also happy to help.
How Does Show&Tell protect from piracy?
As a platform for filmmakers, by filmmakers, we know how important it is to protect your film.
We use Vimeo to host all of the videos on our site. Vimeo has robust security for content uploaded to its platform, which is why we chose it to power our streaming. Read about Vimeo's security here.
We have worked with hundreds of filmmakers around the world and have not encountered any piracy issues on our platform.
